Job Description:
- The Health, Safety and Environment Officer (HSE) is responsible for implementing and following up on occupational health, safety and environment systems and procedures within the company, with the aim of providing a safe working environment, reducing risks and accidents, and ensuring compliance with applicable systems and regulations.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Implement and follow up on health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Conduct periodic inspection tours to identify and address risks
- Preparing accident and injury reports, investigating their causes, and proposing corrective measures
- Providing awareness and training programs for employees in the field of safety
- Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly
- Follow up on the readiness of firefighting and emergency equipment and systems
- Prepare and update risk assessments and safe work procedures
- Follow up on compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Participate in preparing and implementing evacuation and emergency plans and conducting periodic experiments
- Submitting periodic reports to management on the performance of occupational safety, health and environment
Requirements:
On-the-job training (Tamheer)
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or any related specialty
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA or IOSH are preferred
Good knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental systems
Proficiency in using computers and preparing reports
Good communication, problem-solving and team-working skills
