- A Food Safety Field Specialist is required to work in the city of Riyadh
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Carrying out field visits to factories and food facilities and following up on the implementation of food safety requirements
- Evaluating the extent of compliance with approved regulations, requirements and standards in the field of food safety
- Review and evaluate tracking and recall systems and ensure their effectiveness
- Monitor risks and violations related to food safety and document them professionally
- Analyze the root causes of problems and provide appropriate corrective and preventive actions
- Follow up on the implementation of improvement plans and ensure that comments are closed in accordance with requirements
- Providing awareness and training to workers on best practices and food safety requirements
- Preparing technical reports and submitting recommendations and analyzes to management and clients
- Contributing to improving the performance of establishments and raising their readiness for approvals and regulatory inspections
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in food science, food safety, quality, or any related field
At least 5 years of practical experience in the field of food safety within factories or food establishments
Advanced knowledge of food safety and traceability systems
Strong knowledge of food safety requirements and standards such as: (HACCP - ISO 22000 - GMP - GHP)
Ability to conduct field assessments, risk analysis, and prepare technical reports
High communication skills and the ability to deal with various operational and administrative levels
Willingness to move and conduct field visits on an ongoing basis
Preferred professional certifications (HACCP certification - ISO 22000 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification - PCQI certification
