- A pricing engineer with experience in wood and iron works is required to work in Al-Muzahmiyah Governorate in the Riyadh region
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Study engineering plans and technical specifications for projects
• Quantity take-off for wood and iron works
• Preparing cost estimates and quotations for projects
• Analyzing raw material prices and monitoring their changes on an ongoing basis
• Communicate with local and international suppliers to get the best prices
• Preparing technical and financial comparison tables for suppliers
• Calculating manufacturing, installation, transportation, waste, labor and overhead costs
• Review engineering designs and discover any conflicts or observations that affect the cost
• Providing proposals to reduce costs and improve profitability without affecting quality
• Collaborate with sales, design and production departments to ensure accurate pricing
• Update the price database periodically
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure lumber specifications meet project requirements
• Plan timelines for purchasing wood materials to prevent delays
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in pricing wood or iron projects, or both
The ability to study projects, analyze engineering drawings, and prepare quotations with high accuracy
Excellent knowledge of raw material prices in Saudi Arabia and global markets
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, AutoCAD, and reading engineering files
Previous experience in furniture factories, wood or metal works is preferred
Knowledge of ERP software or factory management systems is preferred
Experience in commercial and governmental projects is preferred
Ability to prepare bills of quantities (BOQ)
Familiarity with types of iron and metals, manufacturing and finishing methods
Proficiency in the English language
