- Receiving and welcoming customers in a decent manner
- Recording purchases using the point of sale system
- Collect payments (cash, cards, or other payment methods)
- Issuing invoices and receipts to customers
- Ensure that prices and offers are correct during calculation
- Dealing with returns or exchanges according to the store’s policy
- Maintaining and matching the cash box at the end of the shift
- Answer basic customer inquiries
- Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the cashier area
