Mechanic – Rigs

The ideal candidate shall be involved in maintenance activities such as trouble shooting,repairing, and installation of parts to minimize downtime and improve overall rig productivity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are
maintained.
• Carry out inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repairs on Surface
exploration drill rigs
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and manuals.
• Conducting regular inspections of drilling equipment to identify potential issues and
performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and
lubrication, and diagnostic equipment to fabricate or repair components.
• Provide technical feedback to planners and reliability engineers to improve maintenance
strategies and documentation.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work hours.
• Ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed in line with company safety
standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Technical Diploma or High School with equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years’ of experience in Surface exploration drill rigs ( DD and RC )
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
