- Follow up on the implementation of occupational health and safety policies and procedures within the site and ensure that all employees adhere to them
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor potential risks and report them immediately
- Assisting the HSE team in identifying hazards and implementing control procedures (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment – HIRA)
- Supervising safety and fire-fighting equipment, ensuring their suitability, and conducting periodic checks
- Follow up and implement Permit to Work (PTW) programs and ensure compliance with safe work requirements
- Providing daily awareness and guidance to workers and technicians about safety rules and emergency procedures
- Contribute to implementing the emergency and evacuation plan and conducting exercises and simulations when needed
- Documenting near miss accidents and injuries and submitting reports to the Health and Safety Officer
- Verifying contractors’ compliance with safety standards within the project
- Participate in Toolbox Talk and Safety Meetings on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and used correctly by workers
- Support the HSE team in daily procedures such as monitoring cranes, excavation works, working at height and confined spaces.
Requirements:
A diploma in engineering, health and safety, or a certificate in NEBOSH
