Job Description:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for exploring, developing and securing new business opportunities within the contracting and construction sector, with a focus on expanding the project base and building strategic relationships with clients, developers, consultants and stakeholders. The role includes analyzing market trends, following up on upcoming projects and tenders, and working closely with internal teams to support business growth and enhance market presence
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Identifying and following up on new business opportunities in the contracting sector on an ongoing basis
- Conduct market research to monitor future projects, tenders and sector trends
- Generating and qualifying opportunities and converting them into potential contractual opportunities
- Build and manage strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, developers and partners
- Follow up on tenders, technical and financial offers, and pricing requests in coordination with the relevant teams
- Document and manage customer and opportunity data using customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Preparing periodic reports on market movement, available opportunities, and the progress of business development work
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
At least 3 years of practical experience in business development with a clear focus on the contracting or construction sector
High analytical skills to understand the market and identify growth opportunities
Experience in lead generation, market research, and customer relationship management
Proven ability to bring opportunities and build an effective project pipeline
Previous experience in contracting or real estate development is a strong advantage
Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work within a team and support strategic initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
