An inventory accountant is required to work in the food and meat sector in Dammam
General objective of the job:
- Managing and controlling all movement of items within the warehouses, ensuring that book balances match the actual reality, and monitoring production costs (flashing and cutting) and wear and tear, to ensure continuity of supply with the highest efficiency and lowest losses.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Proof of warehouse movements: recording purchase invoices, exchange permits, and transfers between branches or refrigerators in real time on the accounting system.
- Controlling weights and costs: following up the boneless process and calculating the percentage of wastage accurately, and ensuring that the cost of the final product reflects the actual consumption of raw materials.
- Follow up on expiry dates: monitor the expiry dates database and alert management of items that are about to expire in order to be disposed of.
- Periodic and surprise inventory: Organizing and conducting a periodic inventory (weekly/monthly) of refrigerators and warehouses, matching the actual quantities with the system, and analyzing the reasons for the shortage or increase.
- Returns management: Processing sales or purchase returns, ensuring their condition (valid/damaged) and routing them correctly.
- Monitoring idle inventory: preparing periodic reports on slow-moving or damaged items to reduce lost opportunity costs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2 to 5 years of experience in warehouse accounting, preferably with a background in the food or frozen sector
Full proficiency in working on ERP programs (such as SAP, Odoo, Oracle)
Advanced skill in using Excel (for data analysis and inventory)
Ability to work in cold storage environments (during inventory)
