- Design studies and research: Design clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and surveys to determine the best ways to collect data and achieve research objectives
- Data collection and analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods to analyze complex medical and biological data using specialized software (e.g. SAS, SPSS)
- Assess risks and identify influencing factors: Analyze data to identify factors that increase the risk of disease and develop models to predict the spread of diseases or the effectiveness of treatments.
- Developing statistical models: Building mathematical models to predict future health outcomes, such as the development of diseases or patients’ response to treatments
- Interpreting results and preparing reports: Translating complex statistical results into clear and understandable conclusions for researchers, clinicians, and decision makers
