- Review financial records and ensure their accuracy and compliance with approved accounting policies and standards
- Checking the daily entries and ensuring the correct posting to the general ledger and sub-accounts
- Analyzing accounts, discovering discrepancies and errors, and processing the necessary adjustments
- Preparing internal audit reports and providing observations and recommendations to improve financial procedures
- Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and protecting the company’s financial assets
- Review expenses and revenues and ensure that they are documented and approved according to policies
- Examining disbursement and receipt operations and ensuring the integrity of the documents supporting each transaction
- Participate in preparing financial statements by auditing and verifying data
- Review payrolls and ensure they comply with employee contracts and company policies
- Follow up on the periodic inventory of inventory and fixed assets and verify the results
- Follow up on compliance with local regulations (such as the zakat, tax, and fees system in Saudi Arabia)
- Submitting periodic reports to senior management on the level of financial commitment and any potential risks
