Overview:
- The Fire Prevention Safety Engineer or Safety Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing Safety and fire protection strategies, including risk assessments, engineering design reviews, and oversight of fire prevention system installations. The role ensures that facilities comply with local and international fire safety codes and regulations. The engineer also leads training initiatives and promotes a culture of proactive fire safety across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Safety and fire prevention strategies and risk mitigation plans.
- Conduct fire risk assessments for buildings, operations, and processes.
- Review engineering designs and construction plans to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
- Oversee the installation, inspection, and commissioning of fire prevention and protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with national and international fire safety codes (e.g., NFPA, IFC, local Civil Defense regulations).
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to integrate fire protection measures early in project phases.
- Participate in fire safety audits and recommend corrective actions.
