- nstall, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related security equipment
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing surveillance systems
- Run and terminate cables (CAT6, coaxial, fiber optic) for CCTV and network connections
- Ensure proper camera positioning, focus, and angle to achieve optimal coverage
- Conduct site surveys and recommend suitable CCTV placements
- Integrate CCTV systems with other security and access control systems if required
- Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates on cameras and recording devices
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance
- Document system configurations, wiring diagrams, and service reports
- Provide technical support and training to end users on operating CCTV systems
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role
Knowledge of IP and analog camera systems, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software
Familiarity with networking (IP addressing, port forwarding, PoE switches) and basic IT troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Experience with tools and equipment used in CCTV installation and maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in confined spaces
Valid driver’s license (if required for fieldwork)
