General objective of the job:
- Effectively manage warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, holding, maintenance, and distribution of packaged food products. The manager is also responsible for coordinating between work teams, implementing safety and quality policies, in addition to ensuring that production and distribution needs are met with high efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily warehouse operations:
- Supervising the reception, storage and distribution of canned products in accordance with quality standards
- Monitor inventory movement and ensure the availability of all required materials and products
- Determine and implement accurate schedules for operations to ensure production needs are met
Supervision of work teams:
- Directing, training and evaluating the performance of employees in the warehouse
- Dividing tasks and organizing shipping and receiving operations to ensure high efficiency
- Ensure the implementation of security and safety policies in the warehouse
Inventory management:
- Monitor inventory levels periodically and coordinate with the purchasing department to provide the necessary materials and products
- Conduct a monthly inventory and document daily inventory movements
- Analyze inventory data to identify any imbalances or opportunities to improve storage efficiency
Achieving compliance with health standards:
- Ensure compliance with sanitary standards in the storage of food products
- Work with quality teams to ensure that all operations adhere to local and international health regulations
Internal and external communication and coordination:
- Coordinate with other departments such as production, sales and distribution to ensure the availability of products on time
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials are received regularly and with the required quality
Reporting and analysis:
- Preparing periodic reports on inventory status, product movement, and general warehouse performance
- Use warehouse management systems to document processes and analyze data to provide recommendations to improve performance
Process improvement:
- Proposing and implementing mechanisms to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs
- Researching the latest storage and distribution technologies and tools to improve performance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or any related field, preferably a specialized certificate in warehouse management or logistics.
At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in the food industry or related industries
Experience using inventory management software (WMS) and data analysis software
Good English language
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management programs
Deep knowledge of food safety and quality standards in the food industry
Ability to manage multiple teams and communicate effectively
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Problem-solving skills and quick decision-making
Saudi nationality
