Machine Operation:
- Operate lamination machines to achieve maximum efficiency and quality output, ensuring optimal production rates.
Material Management:
- Load and manage materials, including solvent-based, hot seal, and mono-component solvent-less adhesives, for effective lamination.
Routine Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on lamination machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement, as well as executing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks such as filter changes.
Settings Adjustment:
- Adjust machine settings, including temperature, speed, and pressure, to maintain the highest quality of the lamination process.
Grammage Control:
- Monitor and control the grammage of adhesive applied during lamination to meet production specifications.
Quality Control:
- Ensure production quality, including drying settings, CIL, and breathing time, adhering to quality standards.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve equipment efficiency (EE) and speed issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Training and Supervision:
- Train and supervise lamination operators, ensuring they understand proper machine operation and maintenance procedures.
Reporting:
- Complete shift reports detailing machine performance, maintenance activities, and production metrics for the Production Supervisor.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a lamination operator in the flexible packaging industry
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of lamination machinery and processes, with strong operational and troubleshooting skills
Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to train and supervise lamination operators effectively
Quality Control Knowledge: Familiarity with quality control methods and standards relevant to lamination processes
Analytical Skills: Proficient in interpreting quality data and implementing solutions to enhance production efficiency
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and team collaboration
