- Ensuring a safe working environment without health risks
- Ensure compliance with, regularly review, update and distribute all health and safety policies, procedures, laws and regulations
- Ensure that the company adheres to its legal obligations in all areas relating to health, safety and workplace welfare, including training and legal reporting
- Coordinate the follow-up and review of risk identification and risk assessment
- Ensure all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements are implemented
- Ensure that safety checks are carried out, fire evacuation drills and fire alarms are properly communicated, safety checks, risk assessments and individual work procedures are administered and employees are aware of their responsibilities
- Coordinating the development of health and safety policies, regulations and work procedures
- Ensure complete and accurate health, safety and training records are maintained. Establish a complete program of documented health and safety inspections, audits and verifications throughout the company. Establish a structured program of health and safety training throughout the company
- Communicate with external consultants in the field of health and safety in providing training programs and health and safety services
- Managing and setting the meeting agenda for Health and Safety Committee meetings, forming the committee and distributing its minutes
- Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines
- Stay up to date with all aspects of legislation relevant to health, safety and workplace wellbeing and communicate relevant changes to the business
- Participate in monthly meetings when needed to report on health and safety related issues. Communicate with suppliers such as insurance companies, lawyers, etc
- Stop any unsafe actions or operations that appear dangerous or unhealthy
- Document, develop, implement and improve the integrated management system for ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015
- Conduct safety orientations for new employees, daily safety assemblies and weekly training
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree qualification
OSHA certification
Experience from 1 - 3 years
Having experience in the field of factories is preferred
