Job description:
- Assist the Line Manager in managing the overall daily operation of all aspects of the hotel, including occupancy, food, beverage and banquets
- Assist the line manager in managing sales, marketing, room service and front desk (including all reception services)
- Adhere to agreed budgets and maintain established quality standards and records
- Assist the line manager in ensuring that there is a sufficient number of team members at all times and within agreed budgets
- Quality control in all aspects including hygiene, health and safety
- Assist your direct manager
- Achieving your goals and the goals of the hotel as a whole
- Assisting the direct manager in the smooth running of the hotel’s work
- Contributing to the training and development of the hotel team
- Adherence to legal obligations, quality guidelines and agreed upon best practices
- Understand all aspects of hotel services and management and assist the line manager in training the hotel team to enable them to confidently deal with customer inquiries etc.
- Managing customer expectations and dealing with all inquiries and resolving them
- Assist the line manager in ensuring compliance with sanitation and hygiene, health and safety legislation, regulatory requirements, quality and work policies and procedures.
- Assist the line manager in managing the daily operation of all aspects of the hotel and its services
- Assist the line manager in management and coordination with other department heads
- Managing the quality of hotel services
- Assist the line manager in investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Effectively assist in administration, communication, support and assistance with the rest of the organisation
- Distributing workloads among team members
- Supervising, managing and directing the overall performance of the hotel team
- According to agreed standards, to assist the line manager in recruitment, training, setting procedures and targets, appraising and managing performance, development, training and general support of all hotel team members to ensure that targets are achieved
- Maintain accurate records and accounts as required and prepare reports as agreed
- Be a role model for team members in commitment, work ethic, habits, and character
- Responsible use of resources and monitoring expenditures to work within budgetary controls
- Adherence to all organization policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in hotel apartments or hotels
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Tourism and Hospitality
