- Compliance with health, safety and health legislation within work sites
- Providing advice and consultation on safety and health matters
- Provide backup support and assistance to other members of the Safety Department in meeting the health and safety needs of the project
- Develop safety plans and monitor practices to ensure compliance, write safety policies and procedures, and respond to incidents as needed
- Review the impact of project work on the environment and create plans to reduce or eliminate any impact on the site surroundings
- Developing systematic procedures and designs that protect people from injury and property from damage
- Identify potential risks by inspecting facilities, machinery and safety equipment and evaluating the effectiveness of various control mechanisms
- Direct and supervise the installation of safety devices on machines, review employee safety programs, and recommend necessary improvements when needed
- Work with tactical and test operation and maintenance procedures to ensure appropriate administrative controls are in place
- Work across all integrated product teams and lines to eliminate risks or provide effective controls, implement occupational safety and environmental services programs and interface EHS with business units
- Preparing future safety plans based on previous experiences and facts
- Work in accordance with OSHA standards and practices
- Interpret environmental regulations while developing plans for improvement actions
- Integrating HSE processes and practices into daily operations
- Participate in routine health and safety activities including corrective actions, investigations and site reviews
- Planning and developing permits for safe work
- Ensure the placement and appointment of a qualified employee to practice work
- Always use approved quality tools and equipment
- Integration of equipment before starting work, the most important of which is the safety tools that must be available
- Ensuring the integration of fire prevention and protection equipment within the work sites
Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering
An OSHA certificate or NEBOSH certificate is required, preferably both
