- Preparing tables of quantities: calculating the quantities of materials needed for projects from engineering drawings and specifications and preparing detailed tables
- Estimating costs: Estimating the cost of materials, labor, and equipment required for the project and preparing comprehensive financial estimates
- Preparing technical and financial offers: preparing offers for tenders and contracts and ensuring the accuracy of estimates and their compatibility with project requirements
- Review engineering drawings and specifications: Analyze and review drawings and specifications to ensure their accuracy and suitability, and clarify any discrepancies
- Managing changes in the project: updating quantities and costs based on modifications or changes and following up on their impact on the project
- Preparing progress reports: providing periodic reports on the project’s progress compared to estimated quantities and costs and performance analysis
- Coordination with other teams: Collaborate with architects, civil engineers and contractors to ensure quantity estimates match designs
- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels, ensure timely provision of materials, and monitor material usage to avoid waste
- Preparing purchase requests: Preparing purchase requests for materials and equipment and verifying their receipt and compliance with requirements
- Verifying invoices: Review supplier invoices, compare them with original estimates, and prepare reports on any discrepancies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Proven experience of not less than 8 years as a quantity surveyor, including 5 years in project implementation
