Job duties:
1. Carry out all QA inspections based on international standards for incoming through to dispatch of materials and product. Report to QA Supervisor results daily.
2. To inspect and analysis raw materials report any variances to quality manager.
3. To perform quality assurance audits on raw materials and or finished product.
4. To alert and inform shift management and personnel of any suspect defective product. Action corrective measures as per company policy and procedure.
5. Perform quality testing of utilities and report findings.
6. Ensure process standardisation, QA, Audits. Quality programs/innovations and TQM implementation.
7. Develop and target the plant and systems to reach ISO quality award.
8. Review all quality assurance audits, evaluate causes of minor/major defects encountered in production line and recommend to department ways of eliminating or minimising such defects.
9. Assist Quality manger in developing plans and method of inspection or test to be performed on production,
10. Recommend to Quality manger on procedures followed in the inspection of product or materials into Quality Control & Assurance Manuals.
11. Assist in developing on going Quality assurance training as advised by with the Plant Supervision and Human Resource Department.
12. Assist in the training of operative in Quality checks at station, fault finding & solutions and QA awareness programme.
13. Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in food and chemical Sciences or a related field
Good knowledge of Government legislation, international regulations, ISO & HACCP best practice
Experience of at least 4-5 years in Food Manufacturing
