Job Description:
- Medical director in a specialized dental clinic responsible for managing medical operations and supervising the provision of health care with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. His role includes directing and coordinating clinic activities, supervising physicians and medical staff, and ensuring that dental services are provided in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Main tasks:
Medical and administrative supervision:
- Supervising all aspects of medical care in the clinic, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Evaluate and review medical procedures and protocols to ensure the highest levels of quality and safety.
team management:
- Recruiting, training and evaluating the performance of doctors, medical and administrative staff.
- Organizing work schedules and ensuring adequate coverage of the clinic during working hours.
Professional development and training:
- Develop training programs for doctors and staff to ensure they keep up with the latest technologies and best practices in dentistry.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and updates in healthcare standards.
Communication and relationships:
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, and provide accurate information about treatment plans and expectations.
- Build strong relationships with other healthcare providers and the local community to enhance the reputation of the clinic.
Financial and operational management:
- Monitor budgets and costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and service providers.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the clinic adheres to all health regulations and local laws.
- Update policies and procedures to reflect changes in health regulations.
Requirements:
Degree in dentistry or healthcare administration, with advanced professional qualification in healthcare administration (eg MSc in Healthcare Administration).
Documented experience in healthcare facility management, preferably in the dental field.
Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage crises and solve problems effectively.
