- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all plant machinery, including mixing plants, mixing trucks, pumps and auxiliary equipment
- Coordinate with other department heads to align maintenance activities with production schedules
- Evaluate the need to repair or replace machinery components
Team leadership:
- Recruit, train and manage a team of junior engineers, mechanics and technicians
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing guidance and support to the maintenance team
Technical supervision:
- Supervise all maintenance, repair and installation activities to ensure they meet company standards and safety regulations
- Dealing with technical malfunctions and problems effectively and quickly
- Establish an updated schedule for periodic and preventive maintenance
- Perform routine checks and maintenance procedures on mixer trucks, conveyors, mixing stations, pumps and other equipment
Budget and inventory management:
- Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, and ensure optimal allocation of resources
- Control inventory levels of critical spare parts, tools and consumables to minimize potential production delays
Documentation and record keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections and parts replacement
- Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations related to environmental safety and waste disposal
Supplier and contractor management:
- Negotiating contracts and supervising external contractors working on specialized maintenance tasks
- Contacting suppliers and vendors to purchase spare parts and new machines

- Develop and enforce safety procedures and guidelines for the maintenance department
- Conduct regular safety drills and training courses for all department employees
continuous improvement:
- Evaluate current processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
