Responsibilities:
1. Welcoming guests upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and assisting with check-in procedures.
2. Process guest reservations, including reservations, modifications, and cancellations, accurately and efficiently.
3. Respond to guests’ inquiries and requests quickly, and provide information about the hotel’s facilities, services, and local attractions.
4. Handle guest payments, including cash, credit card transactions, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including the reception desk and lobby, to create a positive first impression for guests.
6. Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to fulfill guest requests and resolve problems promptly.
7. Manage guest accounts and records, including check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments and billing details, confidentially and accurately.
8. Assist in managing room inventory and availability, and optimize occupancy and revenue through effective room allocation and pricing strategies.
9. Providing assistance to guests with special needs or requests, including arranging transportation, making restaurant reservations, and facilitating special requests.
10. Stay informed of hotel policies, procedures and emergency protocols, ensuring compliance and preparedness to handle various situations effectively.

qualifications:
1. High school diploma or its equivalent. Additional education or certification in hospitality management, front office operations, or related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience in a receptionist or front desk role in the hospitality industry, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various guest situations professionally.
3. Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with hotel management software, reservation systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues and other stakeholders.
5. Excellent organizational abilities, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities effectively, and manage time efficiently.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information, reservations, payments and other administrative tasks.
7. Knowledge of hotel services, facilities and local attractions to provide accurate information and assistance to guests.
8. Ability to remain calm and poised in high-pressure situations, such as handling guest complaints or emergencies, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
9. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, based on the operational needs of the hotel.
