Roles and responsibilities:
- Facilitating and managing the needs of patients and companions and making them available quickly
- Coordination with various medical departments and with other supporting services in order to quickly respond to matters required for patients of the Ministry of Health or other government and private hospitals.
- Coordination with medical committees to follow up on cases of hospitalized patients at the expense of the Ministry of Health or other patients
- Coordinating and scheduling the work of visiting representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Council regarding periodic visits to follow up on patients’ cases and to check on them.
- Providing these authorities with the required reports and documents
- Supervising the implementation of patient affairs management and medical management projects
- Follow up on urgent problems of patients and prepare the necessary and ongoing special reports until these problems disappear and work to prevent them from recurring
- Participation in meetings and training courses for medical personnel
- Carrying out any tasks assigned by the Director of the Department related to medical follow-ups and patient cases
- Continuous and ongoing cooperation with the bedside coordinator and the duty manager in order to follow up on emergency procedures in the emergency department
- Coordinating the reception and transfer of patients from the Ministry of Health and government and private hospitals inside and outside the city of Riyadh
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing cases to and from the hospital by following up on electronic systems and contacting the business center management
- Tracking referrals on the system to accommodate questions from patients, their families, or the parties referring or receiving these referrals
- Continuous communication to make the necessary updates
- Communicate with the appointments department or coordination departments to schedule patient appointments for diagnostic examinations or follow-up visits
- Coordination and cooperation with the Bed Availability Coordinator, the Duty Manager and the physician in the Emergency Department to process and facilitate procedures when patients arrive at the Emergency Department.
- Act as an external medical coordinator in referred cases or disaster situations to expedite all referral procedures with all concerned
- Working to arrange the admission of cases that need a specific medical service into government hospitals or private hospitals
- Bringing special reports and statistics from hospital departments
- Preparing and evaluating the hospital’s readiness for crises and disasters
- Archiving and classifying criminal incidents and drug abuse crimes
- Sending suspected case forms to the poison center
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration or General Medicine
