- Adherence to medical staff laws, medical ethics rules, and medical staff rules and regulations
- Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care to patients for whom he is responsible.
- Performs the full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the Department Director and Department Chair in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
- Participates in on-call duties as required by the department.
- Teaches staff assigned for training purposes and participates with the Director, Department Head, and Director of Graduate Studies and Academic Affairs in planning the career development program for trainees.
- Participates in improving patient quality
- Sponsorship (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as appropriate.
- To meet the requirements of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties regarding continuing medical education.
- Participates in and actively supports approved research
- He acts on behalf of his boss as needed and shares the workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues
- Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as the standard of practice regarding morbidity and cost effectiveness.
- Participates in future planning and further development of the department.
- Serves on hospital committees as required.
- Participates in the hospital's major disaster plan as assigned.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the scope of his knowledge, skills and abilities within the hospital and its affiliated medical facilities.
