Main functions:
Provide technical support to nurses and other health care professionals in planning and managing the care of individual patients, administering prescribed medications and making referrals to health care professionals when needed
Assist patients in matters of personal hygiene and basic activities such as washing and shaving
Assisting with daily activities, such as eating and exercising, serving meals according to care plans, serving food and beverages between meals, and assisting patients with moving, turning, and changing positions
- Assisting patients in entering the toilets, and assisting them during bathing
Maintaining technical expertise and updating knowledge continuously, studying specialized publications, and participating in training courses and conferences
