- Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs
- Develop and analyze cost standards
- Perform cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
- Determine the costs of business operations such as administration, labor, shipping, etc
- Performing account adjustments
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their results to management
- Recommending changes to the company's operations and policies to reduce costs and increase profits
- Advising executives and senior management on appropriate costing based on financial statements
- Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books
- Collect cost information and maintain an expense database
- Determine fixed costs (such as salaries, rent, and insurance)
- Planning and recording variable costs (such as purchasing raw materials and process costs)
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracy
- Preparing budget reports (for the company and for each department)
- Analyzing and reporting profit margins
- Preparing cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly and annual)
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Cost Accounting
Integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Strong time management skills
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with MS Excel, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
Experience in studying government tenders is a prerequisite for acceptance
