Prepare and implement workplace health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines
- Preparing and implementing policies and educating employees about health and safety procedures
Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities for risk assessment and compliance with the law
Conduct training and presentations for issues related to health, safety and accident prevention
Monitor the implementation of policies and laws by following up on employees and operations
Verify and inspect equipment and machinery to monitor potentially unsafe conditions
- Investigate accidents, discover causes and handle workers compensation claims
Provide recommendations, suggestions and improvement opportunities to provide a less risky work environment
Prepare reports on health, safety, awareness, issues and statistics
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety
