1. Supervising laboratory workers and monitoring their work competencies
2. Monitoring the workload of each disciplinary department of the laboratory and the distribution of laboratory technicians according to the needs of each department in cooperation with the head of the department
3. Ensure that reagents and supplies are regularly available for each department, and notify of any shortages or out-of-stocks by sufficient time
4. Supervising the efficiency of conducting various tests by laboratory personnel through verification of standards, control, and external and internal quality plan (proficiency testing)
5. Solve technical problems, assist the technician and act as a consultant in solving work-related problems
6. Apply the rules and regulations of the Agras Medical Center as stated in the Policies and Procedures Manual
7. Implement safety procedures in each department participating in the quality improvement program to help achieve the objectives of the laboratory
8. Responsible with others to allocate continuing education for laboratory technicians to update their careers
9. Ensure that all laboratory equipment and instruments are operating efficiently and maintain optimum standards, maintain them regularly and contact the Biomedical Department in case of any equipment problem (problem solving)
10. Evaluation of laboratory technicians with the head of departments on the basis of performance, attendance, behavior and relationship with the patient and peers
11. To help resolve grievances on the business task
12. To determine additional needs for personnel, equipment and reagents
13. Assists in teaching new faculty members, college of health sciences student, medical technology student, medical technicians and college of science when rotating the department
14. Submitting monthly laboratory statistics after reviewing them from the various sections of the laboratory of the Statistics Office
15. Prepare annual reagent supplies to the laboratory upon request
16. Re-evaluate existing procedures to modify or replace the new procedure. Assisting PhD staff in developing a new procedure
17. Ensure that laboratory departments comply with the accreditation and regulatory agency and required safety practices
18. Follow the regulations of the Ministry of Health regarding rules, documentation and reporting
19. Perform related duties as assigned and delegated by the Laboratory Director during his absence
Requirements:
A license from the Health Specialties Authority is required
At least 3 years experience in the same field
Proficiency in working with medical laboratory equipment
