Among the tasks required of the security and safety officer are as follows:
Maintaining order: passing between visitors and employees to maintain order and protect property, and to publish regulations in the facility
- Access control: Monitoring entry and exit operations to the facility, giving permits to do so, verifying and recording the identity of suppliers and visitors, and issuing entry permits to them.
Emergency response: respond to alarms, promptly investigate incidents, contact fire, ambulance or police departments, and report to management
- Patroling workplaces: Patroling workplaces, inspecting gates, doors and windows
- Ensuring health and safety: Adhering to health, safety and environment policies and procedures and writing the necessary reports during that
