Inventory Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:
1- Maintaining the general ledger
2- Generate inventory reports and analyze them regularly
3- Material cost control
4- Diagnose the cause of stock variance
5- Prepare inventory
6- Create and archive monthly journal entries
7- Recording and reviewing exchange and addition permits and matching them with purchase orders/supply orders.
8- Carrying out inventory work and reviewing the actual store balance and matching it with the book balance.
9- Determining the inventory method used and appropriate for the company's activity. Daily, weekly, monthly or annual inventory
10- Determining the re-order limit and determining the maximum limit for the item.
11- Determining the method of stock valuation followed and which is to be worked on within the financial statements
12- Providing the company’s various departments with warehouse reports on stock balances, such as providing the Sales and Marketing Department with a stock of materials, for example, to plan the marketing process, or providing the Purchasing Department with a warehouse balance of a specific type so that the Purchasing Department determines whether to buy the item again or dispose of it from the store and provide the Sales Department with an item balance Specified to prepare the order for the customer, and so on
