Manpower Inc, a leading employment services provider with 4,500 operations in 80 countries, has launched its Manpower Professional executive service in Bahrain.
This new office extends the company's regional network in the GCC region to include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar and now Bahrain.
US-headquartered Manpower Inc, made its entry into the Middle East market in December 2007 through the acquisition of Clarendon Parker Middle East, the GCC’s leading management recruitment and staffing solutions provider, and has already added two offices to its Middle East portfolio in line with the company’s ambitious expansion plans.
The Bahrain office will focus on providing innovative recruitment solutions for mid to senior level managerial, professional and technical roles in the Kingdom. Its market focus will include banking, finance and insurance, IT and telecommunications, and engineering.
'Bahrain impressed us as a market committed to growth by opening its labour market practices to increase the flexibility and agility to provide talent to businesses in the Kingdom,' said Varina Nissen, managing director, Manpower Middle East.
'Obviously Bahrain’s world-class reputation for financial services was an important factor in our decision to enter the Kingdom, as banking & finance is one of the worldwide focal areas for Manpower Professional.'
'Other supporting industries are also on the rise, however, and we are now in a prime position to assist with the growing need for talent in Bahrain across a range of sectors.'
A recent study carried out by Manpower in its ‘Borderless Workforce’ White Paper showed that Bahrain was in the top 10 work destinations of choice by jobseekers living in the Middle East. Other destinations included the UAE, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
“Our research shows that Bahrain is an attractive destination for jobseekers,” said Nissen, “and the quality of professional and managerial candidates we are in discussions with is excellent. We believe we can assist them in their career choices.”
The Manama-based team is led by Wassim Kabbani, a British national with ten years recruitment experience in Europe and the Middle East. Kabbani has worked with the Manpower group of companies for eight years and brings strong leadership and project management skills to his new role.
Manpower Professional will also focus on local recruitment requirements in Bahrain and is currently working closely with Bahrain’s Economic Development Board (EDB), which assists companies in setting up and optimising investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
