- Planning, supervising and recommending policies, initiatives and priorities related to traffic studies
Participate in the planning and implementation of long and short term objectives, budget and operations for Traffic Engineering
- Dealing with clients as well as municipalities or various private sector departments for potential clients
Develop all work plans necessary for the advancement of the department and have them approved by the Director of the Engineering Department in his capacity as the direct manager
Determine the department's scope of work and the services to be provided to all clients in the public and private sectors
- Full responsibility for the implementation of all studies related to the Transportation and Traffic Planning Engineering Department
Prepare Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) and Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) for various large scale infrastructure projects
- Attending all meetings with clients and bodies such as the Ministry of Housing, MODON and the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh to understand and define their requirements for each traffic study
Determining survey sites and study areas for various traffic studies, monitoring traffic surveys, and checking the quality of traffic data
- Estimate trip creation and parking for various TIS projects based on different land uses using DTGPRM 2013 (Dubai Trip Establishment Guide and Parking Rate), RTGM (Riyadh Trip Establishment Guide) or ITE Trip Establishment Guide
- Analysis of multiple junctions/junctions as part of traffic studies, using HCS 2010, Sidra 6 and Synchro 10 software
- Conducting modeling of the study network of road networks using the VISSIM mini-simulation program with fixed curricula, and if there is no Sidra Intersection program used
Carrying out studies of parking lots for various traffic engineering projects to calculate parking uses and requirements
Mastery of PTV programmes
- Preparing and submitting periodic work progress reports to the Director of the Engineering Department, in addition to attending all internal follow-up meetings as required
Requirements:
The academic degree is not less than a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, majoring in traffic engineering, and a master’s degree holder is preferred
Accredited by the Saudi Council of Engineers
Preference will be given to those with at least 5 years of experience in various transportation projects, not just traffic impact studies
