Job description:
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Complete the daily checklist in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Welcoming incoming guests and completing check-in procedures on a daily basis to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Facilitate guest departures on a daily basis by following established procedures for closing guest accounts and determining future availability of rooms.
• Regularly calculate and post funds, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using appropriate cash handling methods and established procedures in order for the guest to present accurate hotel charges at check-out.
• Respond to inquiries graciously and accept reservations, in person and over the phone, through the use of the hotel's reservation instructions. Communicating accurate and professional hotel pricing and information, using suggestive selling techniques, demonstrating benefits and creating value for our guests.
• Maintain good relations with the guest by keeping abreast of all internal and area functions in order to respond to questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses in person and on the phone.
• Operate PBX equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, preparing wake-up calls and communicating with guests to ensure timely and effective service.
• Controls cash and credit transactions at the front desk and maintains full responsibility of the personal bank as defined in the hotel policy.
• Handle all guest mail, letters and faxes by receiving, sorting, notifying and distributing to mailboxes and guests to ensure that information is received by guests in a timely manner.
• Contribute and maintain persistent information and communication sources such as management and front desk log books in order to enhance management and operations communications.
• Provide assistance to team members and other departments to contribute to achieving the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.
Requirements:
  • Secondary qualification or above
  • 0 - 2 years experience
