Job description:
The Purchasing Officer conducts studies that help the organization to make the right decision regarding purchasing operations
Maintaining records/files in the computer about the company’s purchases, suppliers, prices and items that are dealt with in a manner that facilitates reference to them when needed.
Establishing policies and all necessary conditions to complete purchases
Conducting a good study of the market and determining the status of competing companies and institutions
Arranging and recording all data related to purchases according to the records specified for that
- Bring samples of the items to be purchased from the market for inspection with the requesting party before deciding on the purchase
- Follow up on the arrival of items and ensure that they conform to the specifications recorded in the purchase order in coordination with the stores and the ordering party
- Follow-up with the warehouse department regarding the issuance of entry vouchers for the received materials and work to pay the suppliers' bills in a timely manner
- Follow up on supply of late orders
- Preparing periodic reports on company purchases
- Get rid of unnecessary stored items
Requirements:
