• To ensure good clearance of customs as soon as possible.
• To ensure that the annual customs duty exemption is obtained and applied to all applicable items
• Supervise the general functions of air freight and customs clearance officers sea freight.
• Prepare the exemption form tariffs on materials and components, submit to the Ministry of Industry and Electricity, and obtain approval.

• Receive and verify the necessary clearing documents from the external purchasing officer, translate the invoices if not in Arabic, and forward them to the customs broker.
• Follow up with customs intermediaries to clear the imported materials as soon as possible and / or the agreed time frame.
• Request and obtain approval to pay customs duties on non-exempt items. Refer advance payment requests to accounts for release of check.
• Receive invoices from a dedicated broker, check and obtain approval for payment from managing accounts and passing them to accounts.
• Monitor and update the items exempted in order to control the balance of available quantities.
• Follow-up customs claims refund of duty from customs authorities.
• Follow-up to remove pledges relating to the removal of imported materials, and keep appropriate records of all outstanding issues
