Job Description
The Drilling Project Manager manages the company's day-to-day drilling, production and engineering operations. Manages the planning and execution of drilling, development and reserves analysis projects. The Drilling Operations Manager manages the proper use of equipment and maintenance planning. Plans and develops revisions or improvements to solve drilling and repair problems. May give input in developing budget. Able to resolve escalating problems arising from operations that require coordination with other departments.
• Analyze and design drilling plans according to data and production rate.Analyze, design and monitor engineering well sites and prepare reports.
• Assist and supervise the drilling team ( D D and RC ) and production personnel to carry out well designs and drilling in a cost-effective manner.Preparing and summarizing progress reports for management and clients.
• Prepare resources according to requirements, support drilling personnel and recommend improvement techniques.
• Administration of camp accommodation, hygiene and cooking procedures.
• Follow up on preparing the site's health, safety and environment requirements
• Follow up on carrying out all work efficiently, safely and in accordance with the approved drilling manual, company practices and procedures, applicable laws, and governmental rules and regulations.
• Monitor processes to ensure required changes are made.
• Follow up on issuing instructions to service companies for the required work and monitor operations to ensure compliance with them.
• Follow up on properly documenting operations in the daily drilling report. Receipt of documents, spreadsheets/graphs to ensure records are well-accurate.
• Responsible for the entire well site drilling operations.
QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in greenfield exploration and exploration project generation.
• Good knowledge in using geological Software and MS Office.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
