Job Description:
- Collecting information from various field sites, with the aim of documenting it accurately and using it in studies, research or development projects. The role requires moving between sites, using modern tools and techniques to record data, and ensuring its quality and accuracy
Tasks and responsibilities:
Data collection:
- Visit specific field sites and accurately collect the required data
- Documenting data using smart devices, specialized software, or paper forms
Auditing and verification:
- Verify the accuracy of the collected data and ensure that it is free of errors
- Correct any potential errors or inconsistencies in data
Coordination and communication:
- Coordinating with the work team and supervisors to set daily and weekly goals
- Communicate with stakeholders and responders (such as facility owners or residents) in a professional manner
Reporting:
- Preparing daily reports on work progress and submitting them to supervisors
- Uploading data to the electronic system or databases used
- Using tools and techniques
Dealing with field problems:
- Identify and solve problems that may arise during field work
- Document any obstacles or challenges facing the collection process
Requirements:
A high school diploma as a minimum, preferably a diploma or university degree in geography, statistics, or any related specialty.
Previous experience in fieldwork or data collection is an added advantage
English language
Familiarity with mapping applications and GPS systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
Ability to work in different environments and diverse field conditions
Providing transportation and a valid driver's license
Organization and accuracy in collecting and documenting data
