Responsibilities:
- Drawing up the warehouse strategy, supervising its implementation, setting operational goals for the warehouses, training the warehouse staff, raising their performance, ensuring the application of occupational safety and health laws and regulations, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials, and submitting a periodic report on the assets inside the warehouses.
Job duties of the warehouse manager:
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at maximum efficiency, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and setting, monitoring, and managing operating goals.
- Develop warehouse operations systems by defining requirements for product handling and storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate operations, and shipping
- Coach and manage the warehouse team to solve daily operational problems and reach short and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations, with inventory and logistics controlled and managed
- Review and prepare workflow requirements, staffing, space, equipment layout, and work plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following up and applying standards and procedures and adhering to legal regulations
Daily and monthly responsibilities of the warehouse manager:
- Oversee daily store activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Schedule and supervise warehouse staff to meet requirements, and manage work flow and quality to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Inspect equipment, tools and machinery regularly, and supervise general maintenance as needed
- Meets regularly with warehouse staff and reviews, analyzes and develops actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
- Supervise and manage the logistics used to transport products to customers and internal facilities, and communicate with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of goods
Requirements:
Deep knowledge of warehouse and warehouse management procedures and policies
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team consisting of stevedores, truck drivers, and carriers
Organizational skill and ability to direct the arrangement of inventory to suit business needs and merchandise specifications
