- Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate software tools
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or problems
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure alignment with organization goals
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Analyze project data and create reports for management review
- Providing guidance and support to new planning engineers
- Stay up to date on best practices and trends in project planning and scheduling
- Participate in project meetings and provide input regarding project planning and scheduling matters
- Review and validate project documents, including contracts, drawings, and specifications
- Improve project planning and scheduling processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Professional certification in project management or planning (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) preferred
At least 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of project management principles, techniques and tools
Proficient in using project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Excellent communication and interaction skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
