A geographic information systems specialist is required to work for a company working in the field of contracting, operation and maintenance
Job responsibilities and tasks:
• Participation in the stages of geographic information collection, storage and data analysis
• Use a combination of GPS tools to take photos of the site
• Perform office-based data capture to convert paper maps into datasets
• Processing, analyzing and presenting geographic information by creating conversion programs from one format to another
• Developing Internet applications to provide GIS data and tools on companies' websites
• Use tools to connect different GIS datasets and generate new information
• Preparing technical offers for government projects
• Preparation of operational plans
Preparing the required reports for new projects (the need for abacus - labor - containers (according to field visits to the contract area)
• Follow-up of the vehicles through tracking programs AVL - GIS - pilot gps
• Preparing field research, collecting geographic data, printing maps, analyzes and spatial data according to the methodologies and procedures used
• Implementation of all procedures and application of standards for geographic information systems in accordance with the methodologies used and submission of reports on achievement periodically
• Printing and issuing maps, geographical data and analytical studies required in accordance with approved standards, methodologies and procedures
• Determining the needs to work on establishing, updating and developing geographical databases in coordination with the concerned parties and making relevant recommendations
• Collecting field data and coordinating with all concerned parties to ensure updating geographical data and maps
• Carry out any other tasks assigned to him within his competence

Requirements:
Practical experience in the position of a geographic information systems specialist
Writing and reporting skills
Good understanding of information technology and handling of databases and spreadsheets
Knowledge of specialized software packages such as ArcGIS or ESRI and other map software
Proficiency in mathematical skills and the ability to analyze data and statistics
Ability to translate business (project) requirements into operational solutions
Understanding of surveying and mapping techniques
The ability to deal with aerial photos and integrate them with other photos and maps
The ability to draw routes for equipment and make distributions of containers and labor on maps that suit the population density of the region
