Responsibilities:
• Develop business development strategies and market initiatives in order to identify new opportunities and investors and attract them to invest and contract in/with Kattan .
• Successfully cascade and implement the business development strategies and initiatives to the necessary levels with the clients.
• Provide expert industry business development guidance, based on the current global, regional and future market industry trends in primary and downstream industries.
• Research potential investors and competitors in order to identify new opportunities.
• Identify potential business opportunities for existing investors and attract new ones.
• Review existing investors to identify possible synergies and collaboration, to generate new business.
• Establish and maintain Kattan contacts and strengthen current business ties; coordinate meetings between existing and potential investors to promote investment and synergies.
• Keep abreast of business development and market trends.
• Establish and maintain numerous contacts within and outside of the industry and follow up leads in a timely manner.
• Attend conferences, meetings and industry events to promote Kattan and generate new opportunities.
• Establish, develop and manage a strong business development team to ensure that key objectives and targets are met.
• Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and expertise.
• The successful applicant will be based in the main office but will be required to travel extensively both within and outside of the Kingdom if needed.
Qualifications
• A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, MBA/Master’s degree preferable.
• Professional Membership of a recognized sales/marketing organization preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of business development experience, preferable in the primary Civil/Construction industry and downstream based industry.
• Strong business development background within the regional Middle East experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of generating strong business including blue-chip investors.
• A strong background in SMEs with proven track record of successful initiatives and functional projects.
• The ability to create and suggest enablers to lay the foundation for SMEs in construction industry.
• A strong background of integration and utilization.
• Strong ability to identify competitors and identifying unique selling points and initiatives to beat them.
• Knowledge of Saudi Government organizations and current Kingdom level initiatives and policy is preferred.
• Able to work under minimal supervision, with initiative and proactiveness.
• Excellent English and communication skills.
• Strong IT fluency, with experience in using Microsoft Office, Business Development and other relevant software.
