- Acquire new electrical projects and negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to ensure the most cost effective means of reaching the customer’s needs.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documentation including the compilation of schedules of rates, schedules of works, designs, drawings, conditions of contracts, specifications, and make recommendations on tenders.
- Supervise the implementation progress of the contracts and modernization of buildings to ensure that work is carried out to the required standards and within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Work with the technical office team to develop safe, efficient, and effective projects that will fall within the budget and company resources.
- Review the feasibility of the new projects and make recommendations about implementation and costs.
- Develop the company’s strategy in relation to engineering and ensure that all engineering standards are adhered to by staff and contractors.
- Evaluate all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
- Prepare specifications, obtain tenders and negotiate contracts to ensure that work is undertaken to the required standards and within agreed timescales and costs.
- Manage the engineering team, assigning short and long term goals for successful completion of the project’s plans.
- Make sure that all projects and undertakings stay on budget and within the projected time schedule.
- Allocate resources effectively including personnel, materials, and time.
- Direct and control the staff of the engineering sector to ensure that all processes, project, equipment and buildings are maintained to agreed standards.
- Provide expert technical advice on all aspects of engineering sector to other managers and the top management to ensure effective decision making.
- Ensure that all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s health and safety requirements and in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Investigate and resolve any disciplinary or employee relations issues to ensure that all processes, project and equipment continue to be maintained to the standards necessary to meet operational requirements.
- Coordinate more complex projects to ensure that they are achieved within budgetary and time constraints and in accordance with regulations.
- Prepare the annual engineering budget and forecasts and all capital expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements.
- Develop and monitor an annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met, and regulations complied with, in relation to the engineering function.
- Prepare engineering reports and data analysis and submit them to the General Manager.
- Perform any duties assigned by direct manager.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
12 – 15 years of experience in the same field and KSA previous experience is a must with particular focus with the Saudi Electricity Company
Professional certification in PMP and Engineering Design Software
Working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD, including a minimum of one significant assignment on a project using REVIT
Must be able to draft clear and comprehensive reports on the statistical efficacy of projects, the use and allocation of resources, and the quality of each finished project
Ability to draft, review, and evaluate engineering blueprints
Time is divided between the office and onsite supervision
