Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction
- Complies with the customer’s needs and goes the extra miles by suggesting an extra service to satisfy the customer needs
- Handles customer’s complaints and takes appropriate actions
- Seeks feedback from customers through comment cards and table visits, and shares them with the customer service department
- Builds bonds with customers for customer retention
Follow-up on Food Quality and Food Safety
- Ensures the application of operations manuals and work procedures
- Ensures the application of all Food Safety and Cleaning standards in the restaurant
- Maintains the ROR and FS audits standards all times at the restaurant
- Resolves any discrepancies related to FS and ROR reports’ results
- Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas
- Investigates and resolves complaints concerning food quality and service
- Monitors the personal hygiene of all team members as per Bar Tartine food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensures proper preparation of food and beverage items as per preparation guidelines
Machinery and Equipment’s Effectiveness and Safety
- Ensures that proper security procedures are implemented to protect Team Members, customers, and company assets
- Coordinates with the General services manager for implementing a proactive maintenance activity for the restaurant machinery
- Maintains equipment, machines, and utensils in good condition and coordinates with supply chain for orders
Inventory and Stock Management
- Undertakes inventory (daily, weekly & monthly)
- Monitors stock in the restaurant & ensures appropriate shelving
- Manages stock variance and keeps it within acceptable margin
- Receives ordered items as per receiving guidelines and takes proper actions for any discrepancy
- Ensures all products received in the kitchen are upon standards and returns nonconforming items to warehouse / supplier
Cost Optimization and Waste Control
- Controls operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of food preparation
- Ensures ordering goods according to the bar level stock, to control the cost, the waste and the inventory variance
- Tracks waste’s root cause and explores possible solutions
Quality Management
- Ensures proper implementation of the processes and related procedures
- Follows accurately the workflow and reports any repetitive discrepancies
Daily Operating Checklists
- Performs Manager’s station checklist to ensure the consistency/Quality safety of food and makes sure that the restaurant will not run out of products
- Performs Daily checklist to communicate with team members the operational status of the outlet
