- Assistant head chef is mainly requested to work hand on hand with the executive chef and to be his eye during his absence.
- An important role which we are expecting you to play is that you handle staff requirements and ensure consistency of food taste and procedures.
1. Ensure staff are doing their job properly and ensure smooth operations in the kitchen.
2. Deal with suppliers to ensure orders are sent on time and good received in a good manner.
3. Prepare the weekly schedule for the staff and ensure smooth staff rotation
4. Ensure that food safety and personal hygiene are well maintained in the production area
5. Coordinate with the dinning staff to ensure customers complaints are well handled and immediately fixed
6. Assist the chef to create innovative menu items once needed
7. Managing the cleaners and ensure that they are doing their job properly
