The electricians are responsible for building, installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical motors, generators, alternators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems, and oilfield equipment.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and implement daily activities keeping their area of concern, in order to keep the Drilling Equipment operating conditions.
Participate in the implementation of preventive maintenance inspections and corrective actions in time and within budget.
Planning material requirements and help the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain an adequate stock of parts and components.
Execute their duties in compliance with the procedures, programs and standards established by the departments of Maintenance and HS&E.
Report any defects or hazards that may affect the safety of themselves, their coworkers and affect the integrity of the drilling equipment.
Identify risks and prevent accidents, to achieve the goals of the company in terms of safety & security.
Responsible for keeping their tools and personal safety elements in good condition. Like workspaces, they must keep it clean and tidy.
Check the correct disposal of waste that repairs could result.
Collaborate with other members of Maintenance when available and so requested by the Supervisor.
Minimum Education:
• Technician Education
• Knowledge in explosion proof electrical installation
• ACDC circuits
• Knowledge in electronic circuit and devices (desirable)
• It is essential to have knowledge of commonly used: concepts, practices and procedures.
• Have knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements associated with drilling operations.
